Putra Perdana

Talam Corp Bhd has sold some 70 per cent of the 16,000-odd residential properties in its Putra Perdana development, located off the North-South Central Link in Selangor and expects to complete the township in five to six years.

“The growth potential and investment earnings have been greatly increased by the upgrading of the road from Jalan Puchong to Putra Perdana into a dual carriageway and a future access road to the Putrajaya Link,” said Talam senior vice-president Datuk Abdul Rashid Ahmad.

Spanning 1,350 acres within the southern development corridor, Putra Perdana comprises three housing projects - the namesake Putra Perdana covering 700 acres, the 150-acre La Cottage and the 500-acre Danau Putra.

Once the township, located 2km from Cyberjaya and 6km from Putrajaya is completed, it will have several commercial zones, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, police and fire stations, a mosque and other public amenities.

Rashid said this at the opening of Talam Corp’s branch office, its 10th, at a double-storey commercial building in Putra Perdana recently by the State Assemblyman for Dengkil, Datuk Mohd Sharif Jajang.

The branch office, he said, will provide customer care services, assist in housing assessment and quit rent collections, facilitate loan instalment payments and help foster a better relationship between Talam and the residents’ associations in the area.

Talam is now selling units in two new phases of the development. These are the Lake Ville apartments pegged from RM85,900 for an 800sq ft unit, and the 18ft by 65ft La Cottage double-storey terraces starting from RM122,900.

Putra Perdana will ultimately have a total of 8,600 housing and commercial units. These are made up of 316 units of two-storey cluster bungalows, 1,850 units of double-storey terraces, 650 commercial units and 5,765 walk-up apartments.

La Cottage, where more than 60 per cent of the units have been sold, will have 1,357 double-storey terraces and 93 commercial units.

Danau Putra, which makes up 38.5 per cent of the Putra Perdana township, has also seen more than 70 per cent of its 7,183 units being taken up, comprising 5,221 apartments, 343 townhouses, 695 terraces, 903 units of double-storey cluster bungalows and 21 commercial units.
